Nadhalayam was not born from a business plan. It started as a quiet conviction — that the classical arts of Kerala deserved a home where they could be taught with patience, love, and authenticity. In 2012, a small room in Panavally became that home. A few students, one guru, and an unwavering belief that art transforms lives.
The early days were simple. A harmonium in the corner, the scent of agarbatti in the air, and the sound of young voices learning their first sarali varisai. Word spread slowly — not through advertising, but through the proud whispers of parents who saw their children bloom.
Today, Nadhalayam is a name trusted by families across Kerala and beyond. But the spirit remains the same as it was on day one: every student is family.
The presence of Sri Thripunthura Radhakrishnan Sir — a revered figure in the world of Carnatic music and classical arts — has been the soul of Nadhalayam. His wisdom, patience, and deep scholarship have shaped not just the curriculum, but the very character of this institution. Under his guidance, our gurus teach not just technique, but bhava — the emotional essence that elevates art into devotion.
What began with music and dance has blossomed into a full spectrum of classical and contemporary arts. From the veena to the violin, from Mohiniyattam to painting — each new discipline was added because a student asked for it, and we believed they deserved the best.
Our branches in Panavally and Aroor now serve a diverse community of learners. Some of our earliest students have gone on to pursue higher studies in fine arts, perform on prestigious stages, and even begin teaching themselves. That, more than any award, is our proudest achievement.
We honor the sacred teacher-student relationship that has carried Indian classical arts through millennia.
Rigorous training, yes — but always tempered with warmth, encouragement, and the joy of learning.
Online classes, flexible schedules, multilingual teaching — so distance and language never become barriers.
Nadhalayam is not just a school. It's a family of artists, learners, parents, and well-wishers.
Whether you want to learn or simply want to know more, we'd love to hear from you.
